Pharo Schools are a family of schools created by Pharo Foundation, whose education mission is to provide all students with an opportunity to access a high-quality and affordable education, and become productive citizens in a rapidly changing world. Pharo Schools seek to change opportunity at the onset of an individual’s life, setting them on a path to success. This process can only begin by strengthening each and every student’s self-confidence, unlocking their ability to engage in the fearless questioning of concepts which education is about. Finally, Pharo Schools provide pupils with a forward-thinking educational toolset, which addresses globally relevant issues, such as climate change or artificial intelligence, whilst also turning students into responsible local citizens who guide their communities. To this end, Pharo Schools fuse local and international curricula, adopt innovative pedagogy and emphasise STEM.

Pharo Foundation runs eight Pharo Schools across Somaliland, Ethiopia, Kenya, and Rwanda, serving nearly 5,000 students ranging from kindergarten, primary and secondary, through to vocational training.
