Zewdu Cherenet serves as the School Principal of Pharo School Assosa, bringing more than 20 years of leadership experience in education and public administration.
Prior to joining Pharo Foundation, he held several senior leadership positions, including School Principal at ECS School, Radical Academy, Dandii Boru High School, and Passion Academy. He also served as Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO) at Hallelujah General Hospital and as Chief Executive of the Trade and Industry Office in Kolfe Keraniyo Sub-City.
In recognition of his outstanding leadership, Zewdu received a Gold Medal from former Ethiopian President Dr. Mulatu Teshome through the National Leadership Competition.
His research interests focus on the challenges of implementing School Improvement Programmes (SIP) in government secondary schools in Addis Ababa.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Zewdu enjoys reading books on leadership and listening Ethiopian music.
